Strategic lines

Action for sustainability

Formulate and implement conservation, restoration, and sustainable management actions for productive systems, as well as socio-environmental solutions to support solid waste management, compensation or incentives for conservation, improved irrigation efficiency, risk management, etc. All of these actions are geared toward mitigating and/or adapting to climate change and its impact on the water system and associated risks, and ensuring the availability of ecosystem goods and services in the Sierra-Cienaga corridor.

Capacity Building and Participation

Establish differentiated participation spaces with basin stakeholders aimed at generating diagnoses and analyses of social and environmental vulnerabilities in the basins, understanding the impact on the environment and the water risks to which they are exposed, and thus supporting the development of individual mitigation strategies and ideas for collective action in the basin; strengthening the capacities of key basin stakeholders for effective participation and impact in water management and basin governance.

Democratization of Information

Collect, consolidate, organize, and make available basic information of interest to the basins and their stakeholders, resulting from internal studies or studies developed by third parties; Monitor the impact of the Platform and its actions in the basin; Monitor the status of the basin in terms of water risks, water security, and governance; Establish protocols and methodologies for mediating information based on topics of interest; Establish a decision-support platform (DSS) with the collected information to enable access by all stakeholders.
